Nelsons Milk Snake
Lampropeltis triangulum nelsoni
Found in North America, the milk snake is a carnivore and would hunt small rodents especially mice. In captivity we feed them dead mice.
- Live up to 15 years.
- Egg layers they lay around 6-15 eggs.
- Adults will grow to around 4 feet in length.
- Habitat being woodland.
- Crepuscular reptiles.
Milk snakes are constrictors (so they squeeze their prey to suffocate them) but they have the same colours as a venomous (poisonous) snake called a coral snake. This is so that any predators will think that it is venomous and won’t try to eat it.
