Hermann’s Tortoise
Testudo hermanni

Found in areas from southern France, coast of Italy and Mediterranean islands, the Hermann’s tortoise is a herbivore and only eats fruit and vegetables. In the wild they would eat many varieties of plants and weeds also some berries and cacti. In captivity we give them a mixture of kale, lettuce, tomatoes, carrot, cucumber, squash, etc and also some natural plants such as clover and dandelions.

Crazy Fact

A very gentle tortoise, the Hermann's Tortoise tends to be the most friendly of the tortoise family and make very interesting and engaging pets.
