Found across North America, Bull snakes are carnivorous and hunt live rats, rabbits, prairie dogs and birds. In captivity we feed them dead mice, rats and quail.
- Live up to 12 years.
- Egg layers they lay around 12 eggs.
- Adults can grow to 8 foot in length.
- Habitat being grassland and woodland.
- Crepuscular reptiles.
Crazy Fact
When frightened or annoyed the bull snake rattles its tail like a rattle snake to pretend it is venomous, but in actual fact they are not poisonous and are constrictors (squeeze their prey to death). They also make a very loud sound like a bull to scare any predators off.
