Barn Owl
Tyto alba

Found all over Europe and into some parts of Asia, Barn owls are carnivores and will hunt mice, voles, lizards and birds. In captivity we feed them a diet of whole dead mice and chicks.

Crazy Fact

An owl only has one of their ears on top of their head, the other ear is below their left eye. The ear on top of the head listens out for any predators whilst the ear below the eye listens out for any prey.
